Ask your commissioning data a question and get an answer you can check
The CxLens AI assistant answers questions about your commissioning program in plain English, using your project data: CxAlloy checklists, issues, equipment records, and planning dates. You get the answer to what is blocking startup without writing SQL, building a pivot table, or assembling a report by hand.
The problem it solves
Commissioning data is spread across tools. Checklists and issues live in CxAlloy, the plan lives in a project schedule, and the question you have, such as which systems are behind and why, usually takes several views and a pivot table to answer. By the time the answer is assembled, it is already out of date.
A general-purpose AI chat tool does not fix that, because it does not know your project. The CxLens assistant queries your records at the time you ask, so the answer reflects where the program stands today.
Questions you can ask
These are the kinds of questions teams ask, grouped by what they are trying to find out.
Status
- “What's the overall commissioning completion percentage for the HVAC system on @DC-Project?”
- “How many checklists are complete, in progress, and not started for Building A?”
- “Which systems are ahead of schedule and which are behind?”
Blockers
- “What's blocking Phase 1 Generator Startup?”
- “List all open critical issues in the electrical system with their age.”
- “Which equipment has been in 'in progress' status for more than 30 days?”
Schedule-connected
- “For all yellow-tag checklists finishing in the next two weeks, compare the planned date to the schedule's target end date and summarize any difference.”
- “For @DC-Project, are there any planned dates that fall after the schedule's target end date?”
How it behaves
Understands commissioning terminology
The assistant reads terms like pre-functional testing and yellow tag in context, so you can ask the way your team talks.
Answers from your live project data
Responses are grounded in your project records, not general knowledge. If your project has 14 open electrical issues, the assistant knows that.
Returns structured answers
When it helps, you get a data table, a sorted list, or summary statistics instead of a paragraph you have to re-check.
Cites its sources
Answers point back to the underlying records, such as which CxAlloy checklist or which P6 activity, so you can verify and drill in.
Set up around your project
The assistant is configured during your implementation engagement. Your CxAlloy custom fields are mapped so project-specific data is available to dashboards and to questions, and the assistant is set up with your commissioning terminology. Questions that involve dates can draw on your schedule connection, so you can compare planned commissioning dates against the project schedule in the same question.

Models and data handling
The assistant is powered by large language models, currently Claude from Anthropic and OpenAI models, combined with a commissioning context layer. We use the providers' business APIs, and both providers state that API data is not used to train their models. We have not opted in to share data with either provider when giving feedback. Read their policies directly: Anthropic and OpenAI.
Data is encrypted, sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, access is role-based, and client keys and API credentials are handled securely. If you have specific security or data-handling requirements, raise them in the discovery call.
